Now that the holiday season has arrived and we are getting spammed, I cannot use my app. The x at the top right of the screen will not close out the sale page. The app cannot be used.

Doesn’t even WORK for either me OR kids. The “links” to graphics and texts don’t work. Garbage.

Used to be worth it before price skyrocketed and became a subscription model. Will reassess in the future if pricing becomes more reasonable.

I will NEVER subscribe to anything. $10 a month is insane. Forget it.

I had WeatherShot Pro and now they’ve “updated” and they’re begging me for an annual subscription. No.

Was reinstalling this app, then saw the rude comments from the developer here in reviews—-so deleted it again.

When opening the app you have to wait til the subscription ad disappears before you can do anything in the app. Then once in the free version only give one option. Not worth it.

I purchased WeatherPro app in 2010. Paid for it and loved it. Used it all the time but then one day the app stopped working…oh yeah they developed a completely new app under the same name and charge an egregious amount of money for it. The developer created an update that made it where my app just stopped working. This way I have to download their new app (under the same name) and start paying an annual fee? No one time fee? Whatever, I’ll never pay.

When it works this is a wonderful app, but they charge premium price for an app that is very buggy & they are slow to support. Multi-location weather skins don’t work. My paid subscription stops working after a month EVERY YEAR & customer service is VERY slow to do anything about it. Had to get a refund from Apple, then reinstall and pay AGAIN. Will give this 5 stars if they ever fix it. For now, it’s $40 down the drain.

I am deleting the WeatherShot app after years of being a member. The earliest picture I could find in my storage using the app was 2014, and I’ve been a paid member since that option came out. I used the same overlay style 99.5% of the time, sometimes posted pics to the community but mostly shared them with my family, on my Instagram, or used them on my MapMyRun cover photos. I enjoyed the badges but they weren’t a huge motivation for me. When the price increase recently came up, I decided that, to me, $40 a year was just too much. I thought I’d stay on as free user, though, and maybe re-evaluate after a while. Today, I went in to take an evening photo. First screen, that annoying “join and pay!” screen. Okay, that’s fine, I knew I’d see that kind of thing if I let my subscription lapse. But then…that ONE overlay that I use, pretty much the ONLY one I use? Available only to members. My heart broke a little bit as I stood there on my walk, contemplating if that one overlay was worth $40 a year, when I don’t really utilize any of the other paid features. And my conclusion was…No. I don’t usually write reviews, and I was tempted to just delete the app quietly and move on, but since I’ve been with you for so long, I thought it was only fair to let you know why I’m leaving. Thank you for a great app, but the cost is just too much for me. You might consider tiers of subscription, perhaps. I would have gladly kept on paying $20 annually for say, “use the ten most popular overlays” without getting all the other perks. So, WeatherShot, I supported you for a good long time, but now it’s time to part ways. Best of luck to you going forward, and I hope that those who do use more aspects of the app, the stickers and community and so forth that I never really got into, will continue to support your efforts.

Used to use weathershot pro daily then they had a monthly sub and then changed to yearly. Software is not worth 40 dollars a year for the same worthless crap from weathershot pro. Found a better program. Wish these developers the best. Eventually you will learn to not screw over your original base of users. I will give software a 3 star.

It’s honestly really annoying that the green claim button is stuck on there even still when I click it. Please fix.

Why would this app require to access all photos in my gallery? Enough with allowing us to manually select the photos we want the app to have access too. Why do I need to sign from another app like my Facebook , google or Apple ID? Why not just opening an account with an email? Where is my privacy?

My phone ran out of space and the app returned to the cloud. When I was able to upgrade the phone and dad to see there is no longer a free version

Paid for yearly subscription. Got new phone can’t transfer account over wants me to repurchase product. No response from customer service.

I simply use this app for work - as a day and weather stamp on the photo of my location that day. $20 increase over prior years is ridiculous. If I was in the market for an app of this type I would not spend nearly $40 for one.

Used to be a fun little app. Now it’s bloated and buggy and nearly every overlay is a premium feature for $38/year…for just a cute text overlay app. Nope! Deleted.

Seems that you can only use one free, very boring skin now and can’t edit that one. So disappointing! There’s no way on earth I’m paying $40 a year to take an occasional photo. Crazy

8/8/21 update: Still a terrible app and thieves. Don’t give them any money, they will. It deliver what they promise. Zero stars. Original review: Terrible app. There are so many better weather apps. Don’t pay them money, they will take it then disable the app. I purchased the WeatherShotPro app years ago to use the app without watermarks. For awhile now I noticed the app was no longer working even though I paid for it. When I reached out to find out the issue, they developers asked enough questions (including proof i paid for the pro app) but the only answer they could provide me was they converted the pro app to a subscription based model. They had no recourse for my paid app to work and told me instead pay the subscription to get the features I already paid for. This is simply a money grab and the 5-star app I purchased is now worth zero stars. I asked them to give me a free subscription or refund the money I paid them before. Their response was they couldn’t do any of that. Beware of these crooks. Don’t download, let alone PAY for any app they create. Not worth it. Zero stars! Response to developer: I’m sorry but that isn’t true. The app I have is called actually called WeatherShotPro which should be the pro version of whatever app you have put there now. Admit you designed a busted app and refused to grandfather me I to the “new” app because you now want to charge a subscription instead of a one time price. I sent you screenshots of what I purchased and you refuse to uphold your end of the deal. Zero stars. 2nd response to developer: I never purchased any app called Instaweather. I sent you a screenshot so stop with the lies. The app I purchased was WeatherShotPro, the same name as the app you have up now, so I should still have access to what I paid for. Byss Mobile is a rip off and all their apps should be rated zero stars. Zero stars! Zero stars! Zero stars!!!

I bought this app outright a couple years ago but then the developer changed to a subscription model and takes away functionality even from the paying customers. Bad!

I like using this app a lot. Until they became greedy. I bought the pro before and now its unsupported anymore. What is that? Now they want me to purchase the yearly subscriptions. I’ll just uninstall your app. Thank you.

I had previously purchased the premium version of this app. Last year, they changed it so only the original templates could be used, then asked $9.99/month (A MONTH!) to use the templates I had previously had access to via premium purchase. Today I logged in and they’ve further locked down to only ONE template I can use without being hijacked for $9.99/month. (The rest of those templates in the original collection are equally boring, which tells me they’re desperate for cash). Developers: if you’re so hard up you have to hold users hostage for it via steep endless monthly charge versus raise capital through VC, you’re not a (financially) stable platform. Taking my photos elsewhere.

This used to be a great app but now it requires a log in for even the basic functions and a subscription that is bull****. I’m deleting the app and finding something better.

STOP BEGGING us to give you access to all photos every time we open the app! And why is it so hard to find a theme with just Temperature, Wind, Humidity, Country and Date?

I am an iOS developer and it is not good to have to pay for subscriptions after having purchased the app before.

After I purchased the Pro edition, they switched to a subscription model, which also require a registration. Not to mention the tracking warnings on the App Store. It’s ridiculous.

I had this app everlasting years ago when i thought it was less expensive🤔. I also thought I only signed up for one month but to my surprise there was a little over a $20 charge for an annual acct on my Apple acct. these are the only reasons for the three stars right now. I don’t travel much but I live on Nantucket and so do 3 of my four children so why would I leave? I’ll review again after looking under the hood and playing around a bit. Hoping to take more pictures this year also hopeful that this may help✌️

Glad for an ipgraded app but not happy I have to pay again since I bought WeathershotPro. And it’s getting a little pricey.

I’ve been a WeathershotPro user and had already paid for the previous pro versions. But now they are switching to subscription system for skins! Well, I suppose they should come up with more attractive skins or functions in order to keep users to subscribe for the service. And as for users like me, who already had paid for pro version(s), I believe the company should grant some kind of grace period in order to compensate for the already paid users. I, myself, would not subscribe to use the skins... and honestly I felt betrayed as paying system changed and not considering the pro users!!!

I’ve been a Weather Pro customer for many years. Now I understand they CHANGED the app with more features. Okay no problem. I downloaded the app from my cloud in the App Store. Launched the app, attempted to sign in with my Apple ID as well as Facebook and NOTHING. I entered my User Name, read the Terms even used my email address and it WON’T take me to the next screen. Frustrating app anyone else having issues???? Tom P.

When I Try To Use Other Features It Keeps Saying Available For Premium .. What’s Up With That?

As is the case with many app, great when it was free. This app is not. Look elsewhere unless you are willing to subscribe to payment plan.

I dislike developers who are asking you to pay for a Pro version and then change their pricing model, mainly pushed by Apple which takes its percentage on each sale, and ask you to pay again. So you have to pay again and again, so greedy you are guys. I’d would rather pay for each new version, than paying $20 just for a bunch of skin that I can get free from the web or that I can make myself with any other photo apps. You application has been deleted.

No longer works. Not even able to open unless Bluetooth is allowed.

I prefer the original basic version that I paid for. They have over developed it and now want me to pay for options I don’t want

I paid for WeatherShot Pro as an upgrade for the free apps now the developer says it is no longer supported - Edited to add: Developer informed me that WeatherShot Free App Is still available for use. However, I did pay for WeatherShot Pro which removes the watermark. “WeatherShot Pro is no longer supported.” still appears when I open the app. I can’t find a way to remove the watermark. I upgraded my review to 2 Stars since I can use the basic functions. I would increase it if I could remove the watermark that I paid for when I purchased WeatherShot Pro. Centeen

We're supposed to be able to use camera roll photos, but every time I try to use one, the date, time, and temp defaults to where and when the photo was taken. So I'm trying to use a pic from a few months ago, and it says Wednesday 3pm 80F when it's Thursday 8am and 60F. I keep trying to change it but it won't change to the current time and date and temp. I like this app, but I can't go run outside and take pics just to get the most current and accurate info. I'm in FL. It doesn't matter if my palm tree pic is from today or last month. All seasons look the same! Is this a bug or am I just not able to use camera roll photos as pics for my current weather pic? ;(

I bought this app a few years ago and after the developers change the name because Facebook asked for all cias change who have been used “INSTA” in the app’s name, I don’t have anymore this app, the old name was Instaweather and now the name is WeatherShot, neither Apple nor the developers has a solution for this case. And the developers want that I make a new purchase, It’s unacceptable!

When you upgraded you took it away and now you want me to pay again?? I also did the same with instafood and that gone now?

This app is pretty good. I like it. Unfortunately, GIFs doesn’t work on Facebook. Would love to have GIF working. It does work when saved in my photo album but not on FB. Trying to decide if I should subscribe after free trial ends next week. 🤔

After you purchase a premium account all the new stickers and won’t load. You uninstall the app go to hit the restore purchases button and nothing. Contact them and they say purchase another subscription. Customer service is not a strong point with this company.

The forecast data does not update for most skins. Skins will show the current weather. And the weather for the forecast is stuck in the weather at the time of the conversion to WeatherShot from the previous app. This is very frustrating if the problem is not fixed soon I will not be renewing next year. I have found no way to edit the data. All location services are on. It’s definatly not gonna be 19° in Louisville Kentucky on June 3rd.

I had premium version. I won’t support the subscription model that’s all the rage today. App does NOT pull photos from Camera Roll (iPhone) with no option to choose the roll. Bad! Fonts are smaller. Doesn't look like their slick marketing photos.

Enjoyed for last few years. But options are gone, and you want way too much for what looks like only a small amount of the old options. Am deleting...
